A Culinary Team That Continues to Amaze
Under the exceptional leadership of Executive Chef Jake Wechsler, our culinary team has outdone itself time and again. This year, our Thanksgiving buffet was met with rave reviews, with many members declaring it the best Thanksgiving meal the Club has ever hosted. Special recognition goes to Chef Steve Holloman, who delivered the juiciest, most succulent turkeys we’ve ever had—raising the bar for holiday feasts at the Club!
A Team Dedicated to Excellence in Events
Behind the scenes, our events and dining experiences are powered by an extraordinary team. Director of Catering and Special Events Tiffanie Auxier, Food & Beverage Manager Isabella Holmes, and Director of Restaurants Ally Spivey-Eldridge have worked tirelessly throughout the year. From intimate dinners to grand celebrations, their attention to detail and commitment to excellence have ensured every event at the Club is nothing short of spectacular.
Tiffanie’s leadership has been pivotal, with the Catering Team successfully hosting over 200 events in 2024. These efforts have not gone unnoticed—James River Country Club has earned accolades from prestigious publications, including the Coastal Virginia Best of Readers’ Choice Awards and The Knot.

As the wedding, event, and holiday party season draws to a close, Tiffanie and her team have already begun booking major member-hosted events for the 2025–2026 seasons. This early demand speaks volumes about the trust and admiration our members and guests have for the Club’s ability to deliver unforgettable moments.
